Yesterday, September 23, 2026, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) received the prestigious Global Startup Ecosystem Award 2026 during the StartupBlink Award ceremony, held as part of the ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 exhibition in Tashkent. LIAA was officially recognized for its key role in driving Latvia’s position as the "Fastest Growing Startup Ecosystem in the Baltics" for 2026.
This prestigious accolade reflects the latest findings of the 2026 Global Startup Ecosystem Index, where Latvia outpaced its Baltic neighbors with an impressive national growth rate of 13.17%, ahead of Lithuania at 12.35% and Estonia at 8.84%. The award certificate celebrates Latvia's dynamic business environment and acknowledges LIAA's strategic contributions to accelerating startup ecosystem performance and fostering innovation.
The award was accepted on behalf of LIAA by Georgijs Vojevoda, Head of LIAA's Representative Office in Uzbekistan, marking a significant milestone in highlighting Latvia's technological prowess and growing influence on the international stage.
