For the summer season 2025 Norwegian will open three new direct routes to Alicante, London and Split from Riga Airport.
In addition to the new routes, Norwegian already operate routes to and from Riga and Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Trondheim and Tivat. The Alicante route is already on the winter program but will now continue into the summer season. This brings the company's total number of routes up to eight.
“We are all looking forward to the summer vacation when we can travel and explore new cultures and countries. I am therefor very happy to announce that we are launching three new routes from Riga to exiting cities in Europa for the coming summer season”, said Magnus Thome Maursund, commercial director at Norwegian.
In total, Norwegian will launch 17 new routes for the coming summer season. The airline will operate a total of 344 routes to 128 destinations during the summer of 2025.
New summer routes from Riga:
Riga to Alicante in Spain
- The route will be operated with two weekly flights.
Riga to London/Gatwick in the UK
- The route will be operated with 2-4 weekly flights starting on 30 March.
Riga to Split in Croatia
- The route will be operated with 1-2 weekly flights from 3 May.

Norwegian opened a year-round base at Riga Rix airport earlier this year and the base is manned with 60 cabin crew and 30 pilots. In addition, Norwegian has an office downtown Riga with around 160 staff working in Customer Care, accounting, Revenue accounting, operational procurement, IT and other functions.
